Fuse Audio Labs, the maker of the highly impressive VCL-373 vintage limiter/compressor, just released the VPRE-376 Vintage Preamp plugin, a virtual recreation of a sought after preamp module that was originally designed for broadcasting applications.
This plug-in faithfully emulates the audio transformers as well as the discrete class A preamplifier and driver circuitry of the original hardware, which is supposedly the TAB/Telefunken V376 mic preamp. Some regular additional features like phase inversion, a continuous drive control, gain compensation, a linear trim control and VU metering have been added in the digital domain.
The VPRE-376 can be used as a coloration box to add subtle, sweet or gritty sounding distortion to your signals or just help to make them sit right in your mixes. You can also make use of the built in high pass to clean up your low end.
A demo version is available for test without any restrictions for 14 days. Simply click the “Activate Trial” button in the plug-in GUI after the installation to start your trial period. To activate your full license you will have to purchase a product activation key on Fuse Audio Labs website. The activation key will be sent to you by email once the payment process has been completed, successfully. Click “Activate plug-in…” in the plug-in GUI or the drop down menu below, enter your email and product activation key and hit the “Activate” button to proceed.
Price: $39 – On sale for $19 until the 24th of October 2018.
